Cover blurb:
When Skye Harris shows up on the Devil’s Playground’s doorstep asking the Brotherhood for help with a gang taking over her hometown, it’s time for Finn Storm to step up. The bikers might be tough but he’s tougher – and armed with Brotherhood tech and a warrior’s heart he’s going to get the job done, no matter what or who stands in his way.
The one weak spot in his plan is in his heart––Skye gets under his skin like no other woman has and she’s not going to let him take all the danger on his shoulders alone. But when she’s caught in the crossfire Finn has to decide whether to follow his heart or his carefully crafted plan to not only clean up the town but heal his soul.

This second outing the Brotherhood series is a worthwhile followup to the first, and starts off strong. Skye is desperate for someone to help her by killing the head of a local motorcycle gang who is responsible for bringing drugs into the small town in the California desert where she lives with her brother, Robby. He was beaten and left for dead after what should have been a lethal overdose of heroin and is currently in a coma. Skye knows that he would never willingly do drugs and she figures out that the Wolf (aka Mick Smith) is the man responsible for what happened to Robby, and she wants him dead.
She approaches the Brotherhood to ask them to kill the Wolf, and is stunned when they refuse. As former military, they know that killing isn’t always the answer. But they will help put the gang in jail, and Finn is sent in to investigate undercover. Wyatt and Ace go along to help protect Robby in the hospital, which is a good thing as the gang already has members waiting in case he wakes up. Finn tries to ingratiate himself with the group hoping to pick up the courier ‘job’ Robby held, while trying to protect Skye.
And of course, how will he protect her? Why, by staying with her in her apartment…in Robby’s bedroom at first…but not for long!! (This review was getting WAY too serious, wasn’t it??!) Now I don’t want to give any more away, so you will just have to read it for yourself but I can safely say I’m sure you will all enjoy it too!
