**

This is the second book in the Hearts of Valor series, and MacGyver was one of my favorite characters from the first so I was really looking forward to this one! And while I enjoyed the first one, I thought this was a much stronger and tighter storyline that I enjoyed immensely.

Matt ‘MacGyver’ Iverson is a former Navy SEAL who has started a security company with several of his friends and former teammates. (I have to say that is one of my favorite tropes in romantic suspense!) While working a case in Las Vegas he encounters Kellie Greyson, a runaway bride fleeing from a forced wedding to a mobster. Kellie is trying to find her sister Anna who is missing and she knows Tony Palazzi was involved in the disappearance. Both Mac and Kellie have reasons to mistrust each other, but they find themselves drawn together in the attempt to escape Tony and find the truth.

There is a lot of action and adventure, but also quite a bit of humor in the book, and I would definitely recommend it to fellow fans of the genre!

I received an eARC courtesy of Kensington via Goodreads Giveaways, however the content of the review is my own.
